DC Drops Defensive Battle to Rose-Hulman

DEFIANCE, Ohio – The Defiance College Women’s Soccer team lost its conference opener to Rose-Hulman, 1-0. The Jackets fall to 1-4 on the season, 0-1 in HCAC play.

Rose-Hulman scored what turned out to be the game-winning goal early in the game, as Molly Richardson found the net in the tenth minute of the first half to give the Engineers a 1-0 advantage.

DC keeper Andrea Galbraith shut down the Engineers over the remaining 80 minutes of the game, racking up 12 assists on the day. The Jackets were not able to give Galbraith any help offensively, as Hannah Davis accounted for both of Defiance’s shots on goal.

The Lady Jackets return to action on Wednesday, September 19, when they hit the road to face Thomas More. The match is set to begin at 5:00 p.m.
