DC Women's Soccer honors senior Deirdre Trujillo

Deirdre Trujillo, or Dee as she is known by her teammates, is the daughter of Basilio Trujillo Jr. and Kathleen Hill of Barnegat, NJ. She is a graduate of Southern Regional High School, having transferred to Defiance College last year from Brookdale Community College. Deirdre will graduate this spring with a degree in Physical Education and Health and hopes to attend graduate school after graduation. She has been a two year starter and made a huge impact on the field for the Yellow Jackets.

• In her career, Deirdre has scored 18 goals and accumulated 12 assists for a total of 48 points.

• She was named to the All-HCAC First Team in 2005 where she had nine goals and six assists.

• She was named HCAC Co-Player of the Week on September 18, 2005, after scoring five goals in two wins the previous week.

• She led the team in goals last season with nine and currently leads the team in that same category with nine as well.
