DANVILLE, Ky. – The Defiance College Women’s Soccer fell to 1-5 on the season with a 4-0 loss to Thomas More College on Wednesday, September 19.

The two teams battled to a score-less tie for the first half of action. DC keeper Andrea Galbraith picked up five saves during that period, keeping all 13 of the Saints’ shots at bay.

Thomas More did damage early and often in the second half, scoring three goals in the first 25 minutes of the second half to take a commanding lead. The Saints would tack on one more in the 89th minute to take home a 4-0 victory. The Jackets, who were outshot 30-3, were led by Laruen Ranalli’s shot on goal.

Defiance College returns to action on Sunday, September 23, when it travels to Capital University for a non-conference matchup. The match is set to begin at 1:00 p.m.
