Wind Gusts slow play in 0-0 Lady Jacket tie with Transy

--Defiance, Ohio—The DC Lady Jacket soccer squad tied Transylvania University, 0-0, at Knobel Field on Saturday evening.

Sarah Sutter had the shut-out in goal for DC with 13 saves. Rachel Moore managed two shots on goal for DC, who was outshot 14-6 in the game. The Pioneers had just one foul called compared to DC’s nine. In corner kicks, the Lady Jackets were outshot 1-to-2.

Sever wind gusts up to 50 mph hindered play and was a major factor in the slow play.

DC will travel to Transylvania on Tuesday for the first round of the HCAC Tournament, starting at either 2:00 p.m. or 4:00 p.m.
