Lady Jackets tie Urbana

--Anderson, Ind.-- The Lady Jacket Soccer squad tied Friday night, 3-3, against Urbana University in the Anderson University Tournament.

Defiance scored three goals in the final 7:43 of the game to tie the game after trailing 0-3 late in the second half. Katie Klear put the Jackets on the board and was followed by Sara Baillie who scored unassisted at the 5:13 mark. Krista Gray sent the game into overtime with the Jacket’s third unassisted goal with 2:13 left to play.

Sarah Sutter had 10 saves in the goal for DC, who outshot the Blue Knights 24-6. LaToya Harris had all three goals for UU with two in the first half.

The Lady Jackets had five fouls while Urbana had nine, and had two corner kicks compared to zero for the Knights.

Defiance, now 2-1-2 on the year, will take on Rose-Hulman in the final game of the tournament tomorrow at 3:00 p.m. CST.
