Meyer Wins in No. 1 Singles Action, DC Falls to Findlay

DEFIANCE, Ohio— The Defiance College Women’s Tennis dropped a home match, 8-1, to the University of Findlay on September 13. Emily Meyer won her fourth singles match of the season, Defiance's lone victory, winning in straight sets (6-1, 6-2). Meyer and doubles partner Amanda Auzins were narrowly defeated 8-6, while Laurel Smith dropped a close one as well losing 6-4, 6-2 in No. 3 singles action.

The Lady Jackets return to action on Friday, September 14, when they travel to the University of Northwestern Ohio to continue a match that was suspended due to weather. The match will continue at 2:30 p.m.
