--Defiance, Ohio—The Defiance College women’s tennis team won 6-3 over Division II Findlay at home on Tuesday afternoon.

The Lady Jackets took four-of-six singles and two-of-three doubles matches. Amber Evans defeated Janet Kaminski at #3 singles. Kacy VanderHorst, a senior, from Celina, Ohio, won at #4 singles over Carolyn Rice, while Sarah Shuff defeated Katie Welhaum 6-2, 6-0 at #5.

Traci Dye and Erin Williams won at #2 doubles, 8-1, while VanderHorst and Abby Reichard won in #3 doubles action, 8-0.

The Lady Jackets, now 2-1 overall, will next host Tiffin on Thursday at 3:00 p.m. at the Dix Tennis Facility.
