Meyer and Auzins Continue Stellar Doubles Play, DC Falls to Goshen

DEFIANCE, Ohio - The Defiance College Women’s Tennis dropped a non-conference matchup to Goshen College on Wednesday, September 19, 7-2. The loss drops DC to 1-11 on the season.

Emily Meyer had a strong showing winning her singles match in straight sets 6-0, 6-0. She also teamed up with doubles partner Amanda Auzins to win in dramatic fashion, coming from behind to grab a 9-8 (7-4) victory. In No. 2 singles action, Auzins stormed back from a first set defeat to take the second set 6-1, before falling 6-4 in the final set.

The Lady Jackets return to action on Tuesday, September 25, when they play host to Indiana Wesleyan. The match is set to begin at 4:00 p.m.
