DC Tennis takes sixth at HCAC
--Franklin, Ind.The DC women’s tennis squad took sixth at the HCAC Championships at Franklin College on Friday and Saturday.
Kylee VonDeylen, a senior from Napoleon, and Amber Evans, a freshman from Union, Ohio, each had a good weekend, finishing third at #3 and #4 singles, respectively. VonDeylen split her first two matches before winning the third-place match, 6-4, 2-6, 6-4 over Laura Ream of Hanover College.
Evans also split her first two matches in #4 singles action before taking the third-place match, 6-4, 3-6, 6-1, over Stephanie Keefe of Bluffton University.
DC accumulated 33 points in the event, while Manchester College, the tournament champion, scored 71.
The Lady Jackets end the year with 3-9 record overall and a 2-5 mark in the Heartland Conference.
