DC Lady Jacket Tennis finishes fourth in conference tournament

-- INDIANAPOLIS, Ind.—The DC Lady Jacket tennis squad ends their season with a first-ever fourth place finsh in the HCAC tournament in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Emily Meyer earned DC's first-ever finalist spot in the tournament before dropping a three-set match 3-6, 6-2, 6-0 against #1 singles champion Katie Fleschner of Hanover College. Amanda Auzins and Casie Burkhart placed fifth in #2 singles and #6 singles, respectively. In #3 and #4 singles, Vanessa Vendetta and Jessica Gullette both placed seventh, while Erin Wendt finished eighth in #5 singles.

In #1 doubles. Meyer and Auzins finished the tournament in fourth place. Dye and Vendetta & Burkhart and Gullette placed fourth in #2 doubles and #3 doubles, respectively.

The Yellow Jackets finish the season with an overall regular season record of 5-8 and a regular season conference record of 3-4.
