Lady Jackets get road win at Heidelberg

--TIFFIN, Ohio—The Defiance College women’s tennis team picked up their third win in a row Tuesday afternoon against Heidelberg College, 6-3.

Emily Meyer and Amanda Auzins continued their solid #1 doubles play with a 8-2 win. Meyer and Auzins also won their respective #1 and #2 singles matches by the scores 6-3, 6-1 and 2-6, 6-3, 7-6 (2).

Casie Burkhart also improved her season record with wins in #3 doubles and #6 singles. Burkhart teamed up with Jessica Gullette to defeat Dawn Neumeyer and Kara Dittmer 8-4. Burkhart won her singles match 6-2, 4-6, 6-2, also against Dittmer.

The win improves Defiance's record to 5-6 The Yellow Jackets next play at home against Indiana Wesleyan on Thursday, September 29.
