Huntington downs Lady Jacket Tennis

HUNTINGTON, Ind.—The Defiance College women’s tennis team lost a non-conference road match on Thursday afternoon, falling 2-7 at Huntington University.

Casie Burkhart was the lone Jacket singles winner with a 8-4 win over Kylie Hammersley in an exhibition match. Emily Meyer and Amanda Auzins won at #1 doubles 8-4 over Jessica Deter and Katie Sprunger. Traci Dye and Vanessa Vandetta defeated Liz Hull and Ashley Scally at #3 doubles, 8-5.

The Jackets are now 2-6 on the season and will travel to Anderson on Saturday for a tri-match with the Ravens and Transylvania University.
