DC’s Meyer again named HCAC Player of the Week

DEFIANCE, Ohio-- Defiance College’s Emily Meyer (Napoleon, Ohio/Napoleon) has been named HCAC Player of the Week for a second time this season after posting a 4-1 record on the week for the Yellow Jackets.

The freshman tennis player was 2-1 at No. 1 singles. She won her singles’ match against Janetta Christman of Heidelberg and Julie Wegener of Grace. Meyer and teammate Amanda Auzins were a perfect 2-0 at No. 1 doubles. They defeated Christman and Meghan Michaels of Heidelberg and also picked up a win over Anna Metz and Sarah Peters of Grace.

Meyer is now 17-5 overall this season with an 8-1 mark at No. 1 doubles and 9-4 record at No. 1 singles.
