Yellow Jackets bested in replay of suspended match

In a replay of a match originally scheduled for September 8, the Defiance College Lady Jacket Tennis squad was just edged by Tiffin University 4-5. The match was suspended two weeks ago due to rain.

Emily Meyer and Amanda Auzins took #1 doubles 8-6, while Casie Burkhart and Jessica Gullette won #3 doubles 9-7. Meyer also won her #1 singles match against Julia Grove of Tiffin 2-6, 7-5, 6-0. The other win for Defiance came from Erin Wendt, who won her #6 singles match 4-6, 6-3, 6-4 against Erika Bailey of Tiffin.

The Yellow Jackets are now 2-5 on the season and travel to Indiana to take on Huntington tomorrow at 3:30.
