Local poet to read Oct. 15 at Defiance College

DEFIANCE, Ohio – Jennifer Moore will give a poetry reading Thursday, Oct. 15, at 7:00 pm in the Hubbard Banquet Room of the Serrick Center. A reception, along with questions & answers, will follow.

Moore is the author of The Veronica Maneuver and What the Spigot Said. Her poems have appeared in publications such as Best New Poets, Barrow Street, American Letters & Commentary, and Columbia Poetry Review. Reviews and critiques of her poetry have been in Spoke Too Soon: A Journal of the Longer, Jacket2, and Another Chicago Magazine, among others.

A resident of Defiance, she is on the faculty of Ohio Northern University and teaches courses in writing, literature, and composition. Moore holds a master of arts in creative writing from the Program for Writers at the University of Illinois at Chicago. Her appearance at Defiance College is sponsored by DC’s English Department.
