Breast cancer charity event Nov. 7 at Defiance College

DEFIANCE, Ohio – This Saturday, Nov. 7, a Defiance College student organization will be hosting a breast cancer charity event.

The event, called Bench Press for Breast Cancer, will be led by Phi Sigma Chi. This DC social fraternity is involved in campus activities and strives to offer services to various philanthropies. The three core principles of Phi Sigma Chi are creativity, individuality, and scholarship. The fraternity experience has provided personal and leadership growth, higher academic standards, and active citizenship to members.

Bench Press for Breast Cancer will take place Saturday, Nov. 7, at noon in the George M. Smart Center. Those who would like to lift must make a minimum donation of $5. Lifters can also get a shirt for an additional $5.

Non-participants may purchase a shirt for $10. All proceeds from the event will go to the National Breast Cancer Foundation.
