Description
Interested in teaching junior high or high school science? Defiance College's Education major in the life sciences will lead to licensure in grades 7-12. Qualifying you to teach life science, and with the chemistry track, chemistry. Teaching is a very rewarding career and with the shortage of qualified teachers in the sciences you will have your pick of teaching positions. This program provides a very broad science foundation from zoology and ecology to chemistry and physics. On the education side, you will take classes that emphasize both the theoretical foundations and practical applications. The life science major in education will provide you the opportunity to sample the best of what the science and education departments have to offer.
