The mission of the Academic Resource Center is to help all students succeed academically at Defiance College. Learning is an on-going process, and our goal is to help students develop skills and strategies along the way. We seek to offer support, guidance, and services to assist all clients according to their needs. Free tutoring services are available to students in all disciplines. Our tutors, who have been recommended by faculty members, have a strong understanding of the content material and want to help others succeed.

The Academic Resource Center provides the following Student Support Services:

• Tutoring in the disciplines
  
• Media/technology assistance
  
• Praxis test preparation
  
• Computer proficiency testing
  
• Writing consultations in all disciplines
  
  • Individual, personal sessions with a writing consultant
    
  • Online support
