About Tri Sigma At Defiance College
Tri Sigma was chartered at Defiance College in the spring of 1999 from a local sorority, Gamma Omega Kappa. We are the Eta Iota chapter of Tri Sigma.

• Colors: - Royal Purple and White
• Sail Boat - Symbolizing our moving "Ever Forward"
• Motto - "Faithful Unto Death" symbolized by the skull & crossbones
  
• Flower - Purple Violet
  
• Jewel - Pearl (no two pearls are the same, just like our sisters)
  
  
  

Our Mission
Tri Sigma strives to provide a life long sorority experience for women.

Tri Sigma's mission is to establish among its members a perpetual bond of friendship, to develop in them strong womanly character, and to impress upon them high standards of conduct.

Our Vision
The Eta Iota Chapter seeks to guide its members in becoming better women.
This is done through:

• Living the core values of our organization
  (faith, hope, love, wisdom, and power)
  
  
• Service as a chapter and the Greek community.
  The chapter provides many opportunities for service as a group along with Inter Greek Council events once a month.
  
  
• Participating in national programming.
  Throughout your time as a Tri Sigma, there are opportunities to participate  in regional and national events including our national Convention, officer training academy, the Undergraduate Interfraternity Institute(UIFI), and much more.
