Project Transcend | Event Calendar
The Office of Intercultural Relations (OIR) was established to foster a community at Defiance College that embraces ethnic pluralism and celebrates diversity and differences among students, faculty and staff.
Programming
The Office of Intercultural Relations provides programming addressing diversity, sensitivity, and cross-cultural issues for all members of the College Community including: Black History Month, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Women's Week, Hispanic Awareness Month and Unity Retreats. First year students will also have an opportunity to experience the mentoring program called Project Transcend.
The Director of Intercultural Relations advises several student organizations on campus.

The OIR provides individual counseling regarding personal/academic concerns, information referrals, and other services that enhance the social, academic and personal development of students of diverse ethnicities and international students on campus. If you would like to learn more about these services, please contact us.
