Hall Amenities


	Phone	Free voicemail in each room, one land line phone is required for each room.
	Internet	Free internet hookup in each room with wireless internet in the lobby areas.
	Cable	Free cable with all your favorite channels like ESPN and MTV.
	Housing Security	McReynolds Hall, Whitney Hall, and the Jacket Suites remain locked 24/7; student use their student ID to gain access to their individual residence halls.
	Laundry Facilities	Coin operated laundry on each floor of the halls only a short walk from your room. Cost $1.25 per wash and $1.25 to dry.
	Kitchen Facilities	There is a small kitchen located in both Whitney Hall and McReynolds Hall that contains a sink, microwave and stove. This space is available for use to all residents of the building. It is the responsibility of the residents to clean this area after usage.
	Study Areas	Study lounge areas are in each building equipped with computers and a printer.
	Quiet and Courtesy Hours	Quiet hours are in effect from 9pm - 9am on weekdays and midnight to 9am on weekends.
	Vending machines	Vending machines are in the lobby areas of both Whitney and McReynolds Halls.
	Pizza Delivery	Many pizza shops to choose from. Padrone's, Domino's, Pizza Hut, Papa John's and Marco's deliver to the residence halls.


Campus Amenities


	Smart Fitness Center	Student have free membership to the fitness center as well as the local YMCA. The Smart Fitness Center provides state-of-the-art equipment; including free weights, treadmills, Nautilus Circuit, Elliptical Total Body machines, and Trainer machines, Stairmasters, recumbent bikes, and upright stationary bikes.
	Campus Security	Securitas Security Officers complete campus rounds and remain at front desks from 3pm to 7am daily.
	Health Center	Staff by a full-time registered nurse. Appointments can also be made with a visiting physician and counselor. The Health Center offers educational programs to encourage healthy lifestyles.
	Academic Resource Center (ARC)	Provides tutoring, writing consultations, and media/technology assistance. ARC also assists with Praxis and computer proficiency test preparation.
	Campus Activities	A variety of entertainment and co-curricular programming for the student body at little or no cost. On campus events include concerts, comedians, hypnotists, and theatrical performances. Trips off campus such as hockey games, skiing, theatre, and cosmic bowling allow our students the opportunity to get away from campus and enjoy events in the surrounding communities. Larger events include Family Weekend and Homecoming.
	Late Night Fun	The McCann Center is open 24/7. Here you can grab a snack, work in the computer lab, or play pool and air hockey anytime day or night.
	Sporting Events	Defiance College has 18 Intercollegiate sports. Admission is free to home games with College ID.
	Intramurals	Intramurals offer a wide variety of sports and recreational activities throughout the academic year for all students, faculty, and staff.
	Additional Services	Library, Career Development, Student Employment, Campus Chaplain, Office of Intercultural Relations, Music Programs, and more!
