Room Finishing The following items are provided in each room per person: bed, mattress (36"x76"), study desk, chair, floor to ceiling wardrobe / closet unit with drawers, internet jack, telephone jack (one only), and cable outlet (one only). If you are sharing a room with one or more students, you may wish to check with them to coordinate the larger items like a television, VCR, DVD player, refrigerator and microwave. Each room/student receives local telephone service, cable, direct connection to the internet and voice mail.

Laundry
Laundry facilities are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week on each of the residence hall floors. This equipment is provided for the use of each building's residents. If a machine is malfunctioning, please notify Residence Life as soon as possible.
Cable
Cable television service is available in each room and is provided by Defiance College in cooperation with the local cable service provider. Residents are responsible for providing their own television and cable line.
Computer Lines Access to the Internet is available in each room and is provided by Defiance College. For specific questions regarding the necessary hardware/software to gain access, please contact Defiance College Computer Services at (419) 783-2312. More information will be given to you during Orientation on the specifics, and also can be found at www.defiance.edu/pages/SL_residence_computing.html.
Phone Service Each room has on-campus and local calling service along with a voicemail account. Students will be provided with their telephone information at the time of check-in and are expected to provide their own telephone. A telephone with accurate voicemail is required in each room. The assigned campus phone number is the college’s main method of communication with students.
Vending Machines A vending area is located on the main floor in both Whitney Hall and McReynolds Hall. Soft drinks and change are available in these areas.
Kitchen Facilities There is a small kitchen located in both Whitney Hall and McReynolds Hall that contains a sink, microwave and stove. This space is available for use to all residents of the building. It is the responsibility of the residents to clean this area after usage.
