What is Orientation?
Orientation is your final step towards becoming an official DC student. The day will provide you and your parents or guests the opportunity to:
Receive detailed information about campus life and tips for a successful transition
Meet your future classmates
Consult with academic advisor and plan your fall course work
Speak with the financial aid office, the bursar’s office, and many others
The cornerstone event of orientation is the Personal Success Plan (PSP). You will have an opportunity to meet with faculty, staff, and alumni to help you craft a game plan for your future at DC. The PSP will not only outline your academic goals, but assist you in planning your life outside of the classroom.

Mission
The mission of orientation is to facilitate a positive and informational transition into the Defiance College community. Through orientation, students will be exposed to both curricular and co-curricular opportunities and resources. Additionally, orientation allows for small groups of students and parents to have significant time with staff and faculty to facilitate a successful transition.
