Transfer students interested in enrolling full-time (four or more classes per semester) should follow the Office of Admissions Transfer Process Checklist.
_____ Visit Defiance College. This is the best way to experience DC and all it has to offer - and we'll waive your application fee! Call ahead so we can arrange your personal itinerary to include the people you need to see: admissions/financial aid, faculty in your major, an athletic coach if you wish, and a current DC student for a personal campus tour.
_____ Apply for Admission. There are three easy ways: by mail, on-line, in person.
- By mail: Send us your completed application for admission, official high school and college transcripts, and the $25.00 application fee (remember it's waived if you visit).
- On-line: Complete all parts of the application. Request official copies of your high school and college transcripts to be forwarded to the Office of Admissions. The $25.00 application fee will be waived since you are applying on-line.
- In person: Bring your completed application for admission and official high school and college transcripts to the Office of Admissions. A tuition deposit of $150 is required 30 days after acceptance for all full-time students.
_____ Transfer Credit Evaluation. Once your transcripts have been evaluated by the Registrar’s Office, meet with your admissions counselor to discuss your transfer credit evaluation.
_____ Orientation and Registration. Attend a Transfer Orientation to schedule your classes.
