You've made the first big step of your future; you've decided to return to the classroom. The Center for Adult and Graduate Programs realizes how important this is to you and will help you every step of the way. Here are the first steps to getting started with achieving your educational goals at Defiance College.
Step 1:
Gather information about DC, either by requesting information through the mail or through exploring the web page.
Defiance College currently has 40 majors that can be completed by enrolling in day and evening classes. The Weekend College program offers seven majors that can be completed by attending courses only on the weekend or through a combination of day, evening, and weekend.
Students transferring from another institution can have their prior coursework evaluated by the Registrar to determine the amount of transfer credit .
Step 2:
Visit DC
A campus visit is a great way to get a feel for the campus and the classroom. By visiting campus you can meet with a member of the CAP staff who will help answer any questions you may have. As a bonus, if you visit campus we'll waive your $25 application fee.
Step 3:
Apply for admission. This can be completed online or through the mail. CAP accepts applications for admission at any time throughout the year. New students are accepted for coursework in Fall, Spring, or Summer semesters.
To apply to DC, the following information is necessary:
- An official high school transcript (and/or GED if applicable)
- Official transcripts from all previous college work (if applicable)
- A non-refundable $25 application fee (this fee is waived if you apply online or visit campus)
- A completed application
(Official transcripts are those sent directly from the high school or college to the Center for Adult and Graduate Programs)
