Bio
Fred Coulter is an associate professor of education, teaching a variety of undergraduate and graduate level courses. He earned is doctorate in child and family studies at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Since coming to Defiance College, he has participated in numerous presentations and workshops related to child development, service learning, family empowerment, and professional development. As a member of the Hench Autism Studies Program at Defiance College, Dr. Coulter is developing a family resource center to serve the needs of families whose children have autism. Dr. Coulter applies his research interests to the classroom to assure that students are learning about the latest developments in education and the field of teaching.
