Yellow Ribbon Program
The Yellow Ribbon program provides a source of funding for tuition expenses at participating private institutions whose tuition exceeds the state’s highest priced public institution. Under the program, the tuition amount that exceeds the highest public in-state undergraduate tuition rate would be split evenly between the participating institution and the Yellow Ribbon Program, allowing veterans to attend Defiance College tuition-free.
Yellow Ribbon Eligibility
Through the Yellow Ribbon program, eligible veterans would include those who served an aggregate period of active duty after September 10, 2001, of at least 36 months; were honorably discharged from active duty for a service connected disability and served 30 continuous days after September 10, 2001; or are a dependent eligible for Transfer of Entitlement under the Post-9/11 GI Bill based on a veteran’s service under the eligibility criteria listed above.
Additionally, prospective students must meet all requirements for admission to Defiance College and must submit an application for admission.
