Our Mission

Through strategic engagement and thoughtful communication, the Office of Institutional Advancement builds meaningful relationships with individuals and organizations committed to supporting the College’s mission.

Make a Gift
Giving Societies
  • $174-$249 Anniversary Society
  • $250-$499 Advancement Society
  • $500-$999 Defiance Society
  • $1,000-2,499 Presidential Circle
Scholarships

Endowed Scholarships

  • Whether you want to provide support to students with the greatest financial need or support a secific area, you can tailor your gift.
  • Fund a named endowed scholarship
  • Minimum amount to endow a scholarship is $25,000

Pass Thru Scholarships

  • A pass thru scholarship is not a permanent fund, and is awarded only as long as you (or others) choose to contribute to the fund.
Donor Advised Funds (DAF)
  • A donor-advised fund allows donors to make a charitable contribution, receive an immediate tax deduction, and then recommend grants from the fund over time.
  • Donors can contribute to the fund as frequently as they would like, and then recommend grants to their favorite charitable organizations whenever it makes sense for them.
Matching Gifts
  • Contact your Human Resources Department for more information about matching gift opportunities that could double your gift.
  • If yes, and you are giving by mail, request an application form from your company and forward with your gift to Defiance College.
