Defiance College Yellow Jacket Band Experience Day Oct. 7

DEFIANCE, Ohio - The Defiance College Yellow Jacket Band will welcome area high school students to their upcoming Experience Day on Saturday, Oct. 7.

Students will start in Schauffler Hall on the Defiance College campus, with a culminating performance at halftime of the football game against Manchester. High school students may sign up to attend this event free of charge at www.defiance.edu/music.

The Experience Day begins with music rehearsal and preparation for the marching visuals. The band will then provide lunch at the Homecoming Barbeque at the Stadium. Finally, the combined band will perform both in the stands and at halftime.

Founded in 2013, the Yellow Jacket Band is the College’s marching band. The band performs for home football games at the Justin F. Coressel Stadium, and other area concerts. The Yellow Jacket Band provides students an experience that fits within the mission of the College, developing an attitude of global service. The band fosters spirit, serves the community, and provides entertainment.
