Memorial service to honor long-time DC supporter Phyllis Snyder

DEFIANCE, Ohio - Defiance College will host a memorial service on Sunday, Dec. 3, to celebrate the life of the late Phyllis Snyder. The Defiance resident passed away Oct. 22. She and her husband, the late Vern “Pickle” Snyder, were long-time supporters of Defiance College and DC athletics.

The service will begin at 1 p.m. in the Karl H. Weaner Community Center. Speakers will include Defiance College president Dr. Richanne C. Mankey, Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference commissioner Chris Ragsdale, former DC men’s basketball coach Kyle Brumett, student-athletes Reed Guerin, Sarah Kaya and Whitney Schalk, alumnus and former assistant men’s basketball coach Nate Conley.

Memorial contributions in Phyllis Snyder’s honor may be made to the Defiance College Athletic Fund or Defiance High School Athletic Fund.
