Timothy Pruett named VP for finance and administration at Defiance College

DEFIANCE, Ohio - Timothy Pruett has been named vice president for finance and administration at Defiance College. It was announced today by Dr. Richanne C. Mankey, president.

Pruett comes to Defiance after serving as vice president for finance and chief financial officer at the University of Rio Grande. He will succeed Lois McCullough, who is retiring from DC after 22 years in the vice president’s role.

“We thank Lois for her years of dedicated service to Defiance College and wish her all the best,” said Dr. Mankey. “We welcome Tim to Defiance College and the community and look forward to working with him as the College moves forward to its 175th anniversary.”

Pruett will assume his role at Defiance on March 4. He will be responsible for leading and managing the College’s finances and operations, as well as overseeing business and service functions in several areas.

Pruett has 33 years of experience in business management and financial reporting, including 16 years in higher education administration with expertise in finance, facilities, construction projects, financial aid, and management information systems. At Rio Grande, he provided leadership to the University’s financial administration. He was previously associate vice president for business and finance at Wilmington College for 10 years.

A graduate of Capital University, he is a certified public accountant in the State of Ohio and has his own financial consulting business. He is a member of several professional organizations and is active in his community of Middletown, Ohio, where he serves on school and city committees.
