Defiance College student wins Charles J. Ping Award

DEFIANCE, Ohio - Defiance College is proud to announce that Alivia Mae Kruczkowski (Holland, OH) is a recipient of the 2023 Ohio Campus Compact Charles J. Ping Student Service Award. This award recognizes and honors undergraduate students for their outstanding leadership and contributions to community service or service-learning on their campus or within their community.

These students are future leaders in our communities and exemplify social responsibility and commitment to improvement of campus and community life." said Stephanie Dodd, Executive Director.

Kruczkowski will graduate in May with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science, with minors in Psychology and Autism Studies. She is an active member of the Defiance College Service Leadership Program through which she has completed over 300 hours of service in the community. Most notably, Kruczkowski founded and served as president of the Defiance College chapter of Rally Cap Sports, a program that provides recreational sports opportunities for individuals with special needs.
