The Defiance College Teacher Education program is seeking part-time Clinical Supervisors for Teacher Education students participating in 5-week practicum experiences in the Fall and Spring, and 15-week Internships in the Spring. Our Licensure areas include Early and Middle Childhood Education, Adolescent and Young Adult (core content areas), Intervention Specialist Mild-to-Moderate (K-12), and Health and Physical Education (Pre-K-12). Clinical Supervisors are required to make site visits during normal school hours and attend meetings and/or training sessions on campus.

Requirements include a Master’s Degree in Education and teaching experience in P-12 schools. A current teaching license within the areas indicated above is preferred. Defiance College seeks qualified individuals for our part-time faculty pool. Format of classes is generally face to face and content areas of need vary from semester to semester. Part-time faculty are responsible for providing quality instruction to students through well-prepared classes, relevant assignments, fair and holistic assessment of learning, clear directives, and timely and helpful feedback.

Defiance College is seeking part-time instructors for anticipated needs in applied music lessons. The anticipated needs include Guitar, Viola, Horn, and Piano. Instructors provide 12 lessons and a performance assessment. Candidates must be willing to recruit and build instrumental music studios and potentially small ensembles, based on department needs. Successful candidates are encouraged to develop a private studio from area secondary schools while using the college facilities and marketing. Candidates must hold a valid music credential, including a Master’s degree in performance or a performance certificate. Defiance College Music Programs serves students through a variety of vocal and instrumental ensembles. Music ensembles involve students in cooperative learning environments developing aural, communication, and leadership skills. Defiance College, an NCAA D-III institution and member of the HCAC, seeks an individual to serve as Assistant Baseball Coach.  Under the direction of the Head Coach, the selected individual will serve primarily as pitching coach but will also assist with coaching, recruiting, academic monitoring, fund raising, mentoring of student-athletes, strength & conditioning, developing annual service/engagement projects for student-athletes, and other duties as assigned.  The successful candidate will also be responsible for supporting the mission of Defiance College, as well as adherence to institutional, Heartland Conference, and NCAA policies and procedures.  A bachelor's degree, previous collegiate coaching and recruiting experience, and a valid driver's license are required; master's degree preferred.  Preference will be given to candidates who can demonstrate strong communication skills and successful Division III recruiting experience.
