Assistant or Associate Professor of Digital Forensic Science
Defiance College invites applications and nominations for a tenure-track Assistant or Associate Professor of Digital Forensic Science. Responsibilities include a 24-credit per year teaching load involving undergraduate courses in digital forensic science; academic advising; curriculum development; committee work; and service to the college.
The successful candidate must have a master’s or doctoral degree in information technology, digital forensics, computer engineering, cybersecurity, information assurance, or related field. Rank is Assistant or Associate Professor for a completed doctorate, Instructor for ABD and less than three years of college teaching experience, and Assistant Professor of Practice for a master’s degree and at least three years of professional experience. Preference will be given to candidates with significant digital forensics or cybersecurity work experience, teaching experience, and an industry certification.

Assistant Professor of Chemistry & Forensic Science
Defiance College invites applications and nominations for a full-time, tenure-track assistant professor of Chemistry with extensive background in forensic science. The successful candidate will have extensive background in forensic science and be able to provide instruction in general chemistry, analytical chemistry, forensic chemistry, and a non-major science course. Responsibilities include a 24-credit teaching load; academic advising; curriculum development; instrument maintenance; committee work; and service to the college. The individual will have the responsibility of refining, overseeing and growing the forensic science program.
The successful candidate must have a Ph.D. in chemistry or be ABD. Rank is Assistant Professor for a completed doctorate and Instructor for ABD and less than three years of college teaching experience. Preference will be given to candidates with post-doctoral, industrial experience and/or forensic laboratory experience. The desired start date is Fall 2015 but a Spring 2016 start date would also be considered.

Teacher Education Field Supervisors
The Defiance College Education program is seeking part-time clinical supervisors to supervise and observe teacher education students participating in field experiences. Needs range from Pre‑K to Grade 12 and currently include Early Childhood Education, Intervention Specialist, Math, and Language Arts.
These part-time opportunities require site visits during normal school hours and may include attendance at on-campus meetings/training sessions which are typically held on Wednesday evening and/or Saturday. HEAD MEN’S & WOMEN’S CROSS COUNTRY/TRACK & FIELD COACH
Defiance College, an NCAA D-III institution and member of the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference, seeks an individual to serve as head coach of the men’s and women’s cross country and track and field programs. The individual will be responsible for providing organization and leadership for all phases of the programs under the direction of the Athletic Director. Responsibilities include recruiting, meet scheduling and preparation, practice organization, fundraising, budget preparation and management, equipment control, mentoring of student-athletes and assistant coaches, developing annual service/engagement project for student-athletes, and other duties normally associated with being the head coach of an intercollegiate program. Additional expectations of this position may include some departmental and campus committee work/involvement.
Candidates must be able to develop and motivate Division III student-athletes; have a strong commitment to the academic success of student-athletes; knowledge of and commitment to all NCAA, conference, and institutional rules and regulations; good communication skills; and strong leadership skills. This position requires a bachelor’s degree (masters preferred), a valid driver’s license, and previous coaching and recruiting experience, preferably as a collegiate head coach.
