On Friday, Dec. 2, a student-run Christmas Carnival will be on the Defiance College
campus to benefit the college's Dance Marathon project in support of the Toledo Children's
Miracle Network. The carnival is open to the public and will run from 5 p.m. to 8

Five Defiance College alumni were inducted in the Alumni Varsity D Hall of Fame during
homecoming festivities on Saturday, Oct. 15. They included: James Bailey, Roswell,
Ga.; Jason Lee, Zanesville, Ohio; Jodi Hybart, Defiance, Ohio; Mike Groll, Colorado
Springs, Colo.; Roxane Kruse Kippen, Grand Rapids, Mich. For the first time, two teams
were also inducted into the Athletic Hall of Fame: the 1961 Baseball Team and the
1966 Football Team.

Defiance College will receive $15,000 in a grant award from the Ohio Department of
Higher Education as part of the Transforming Campus Climate grants offered through
the Changing Campus Culture initiative to all campuses in Ohio. The DC grant was one
