DC offers Education Licensure Graduate Program

DEFIANCE, Ohio - Defiance College now offers a Graduate Studies licensure-only program which offers the opportunity to earn an Ohio Teaching license in one of four areas:  adolescent to young adult (grades 7-12) life science; life science and chemistry; multi-age (grades K-12) licenses in visual arts; and intervention specialist (mild to moderate).

Through the Professional Education Teaching Licensure (PETL) program (a licensure-only program), students could potentially earn an Ohio Teaching license in any of the four areas in 18 months or less. The programs are approved by the Ohio Board of Regents and the Defiance College Teacher Education Program which is accredited by the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE).
