DEFIANCE, Ohio - The Defiance College Women’s Commission Gallery is currently hosting an exhibit of works by Dick Lehman. The show runs through March 29, and a reception with the artist will be held from 4-6 p.m. on Monday, March 25, in the gallery. The reception is free and open to the public.
Lehman has been working with clay for nearly 40 years. The outcome of these years of exploration and development has resulted in the saggar-fired, side-fired and wood-fired approaches that constitute the exhibition-quality works that he produces. Over the past ten years he has traveled internationally offering more than 45 workshops, working as a visiting artist in academic settings, and authoring nearly 50 articles for international ceramics publications. Lehman is a world-renowned artist with an exhibit not to be missed.
Lehman will also be hosting a workshop and lecture from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on March 25 in the Art Center. The event is open to the public.
