Musical evening this Friday with Defiance College Music Programs

DEFIANCE, Ohio - The Defiance College Music Programs will be presenting a spring concert featuring three instrumental music ensembles. The evening of music is Friday, April 20, at 7 p.m. at St. John United Church of Christ, Webster Street.

The “DeeCees” Jazz Band is an all-student jazz combo playing Latin and swing charts and classic rock.

The Defiance College Community Chamber Orchestra is an ensemble of DC students and community members. They will be performing a set of music inspired by nature.

The DC Wind Ensemble is an all-student ensemble performing classics for the wind band by Ralph Vaughan Williams, Frank Erickson, and John Philip Sousa.

All of the ensembles are under the direction of Cassidy Nalepa, Assistant Director of Music Programs.

The concert is free and open to the public.
