Annual honors convocation recognizes Defiance College students

DEFIANCE, Ohio - Defiance College held its annual Honors Day Convocation recently to recognize academic achievements of students. Special recognition was also given to faculty and staff.
The Charles J. Ping Student Service Award from Ohio Campus Compact was presented to Lucas Thomeier, Wickliffe, Ohio. The Ping Award recognizes and honors undergraduate students' outstanding leadership and contributions to community service on their campus and within their community. The award is granted annually to undergraduates from Ohio Campus Compact member institutions. Twelve students in Ohio received Ping Awards this year.
Lucas Thomeier also received the Mathematics Award.
Highest Ranking Seniors were Shana Manz, Paulding, Ohio, and Isabella Swartz, Bryan, Ohio.
