When you enter Defiance College you become part of a warm, caring community. It's a place where you can develop intellectually, socially, physically, and spiritually. Your visit to Defiance College will be thorough. Depending on your preferences, you will have the opportunity to tour the campus, visit with a faculty member in your major, and interview with an admissions counselor. And of course, lunch is on us! We want you to completely experience the DC lifestyle so that you can decide if we are a good match for you. If you want to visit a class, just ask when you call to make your appointment.

The Admissions Office welcomes visitors Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and most Saturday mornings in September through May from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. Defiance College rewards deserving academic achievement through a dynamic merit financial aid program. Scholarships are offered to eligible students the first year and are renewed each year according to established renewal requirements. Final scholarships are coordinated with other federal, state, and Defiance College sponsored awards. The Defiance College Scholarship is awarded to eligible students in an amount between $4,000 and $10,000 upon acceptance to the College. Scholarship Day Program awards offer significant additional amounts that will replace the previously awarded Defiance College Scholarship.
Don't pass up this excellent opportunity to be rewarded for all of your hard work! All students who participate will receive a scholarship day program award. Review the criteria for your eligibility to participate in the Scholarship Day events.
- Application Criteria/Checklist
- A completed application for admission, an official high school transcript, and ACT or SAT test scores. An application form can be mailed to you or it can be submitted online
- Participate in the on-campus program on Saturday, November 10, 2007, or February 23, 2008.
- Invitations to the on-campus scholarship program will only be extended to those candidates who are eligible and who have been accepted for admission to Defiance College by November 2, 2007 or February 15, 2008, respectively.
Citizen Leader Award ($2,000)
New students with a demonstrated record of service in their communities are eligible. The Citizen Leader program offers Defiance College students unique and exciting programs to develop leadership skills that will strengthen their individual career interests, and include domestic and international opportunities. Discuss what college life is like for our current student-athletes and hear what they have to say about the balance between academics and sports. Thinking about transferring to DC? Then visit campus and get answers to your questions. Talk with the Registrar and have an immediate transcript evaluation, learn about transfer merit awards and financial aid, converse with our faculty on major areas of study, learn about our adult programs including the Fast Track program, hear from current transfer students on why they transferred to DC, and tour our growing campus. Accepted transfer students will also schedule their classes for the spring semester during the December Open House and for the fall semester during the April Open House. RSVP your visit today!

Individual Campus Visit
If you would rather set up your own itinerary, no problem! Call the Admissions Office today and we can arrange for you to meet with an admissions counselor, talk with a faculty member in your major, take a campus tour, eat lunch in the dining hall, and talk with a coach, if you'd like. You can visit Monday through Friday from 8:00 am until 4:30 pm and most Saturday mornings in September through May from 9:00 am until noon.

Northwest corner of Ohio at the confluence of the Auglaize and Maumee Rivers; one hour from Lima and Toledo, Ohio, and Ft. Wayne, Indiana; two hours from Detroit, Michigan and Columbus, Ohio; three-and-a-half hours from Cleveland, Ohio; and four hours from Chicago, Illinois. The city of Defiance has 18,000 residents.
