Amy Drees is a graduate of Case Western Reserve University's Integrated Graduate Studies program. She received both her BA and MA from Case in 1991 and was the Andrew Squire Scholar for her undergraduate class. After teaching for ten years at Edison Community College in Piqua, Ohio, Professor Drees came to Defiance College in 2000, where she teaches full time in Multimedia Communication, Graphic Arts, and courses in the Global Civilization and Composition programs.
Professor Drees also provides designs for numerous Defiance College projects, including the Arts on the Quad annual arts festival and Progeny, the DC literary and photographic magazine.
