Support and Therapy Groups Being Offered

Counseling Services

The Counseling Center offers several support and therapy groups throughout the year. The current groups that we are offering are:

Support Groups

LGBTQ Support Group
If you are lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer or questioning and would like a place to get support from other LGBTQ folks, join us on Tuesdays from 1-2 in Serrick Center 218-B. We'll spend our time discussing topics and issues that are relevant and brought up by the group including: coming out issues, identify formation, navigating being LGBTQ on DC's campus, dealing with bullying or other forms of abuse/harassment, and accessing LGBTQ resources. You don't need to register beforehand or commit to attending each session. We ask participants to respect the rules of the group - these are available at the beginning of each group but include such things as keeping everything that is said within the group confidential, respecting the individual situation of others in the group, and not pressuring anyone into saying anything if they don't want to. If you have any questions, please contact Lynn Braun at the DC Counseling Center at 419-783-2548.

Times for these groups will be determined after looking at the schedules of those who are interested in attending.
