Andrew Schultz
Director of Music Programs

Bio
Andrew is currently working to revive the Defiance College Music Program while directing the Chamber Singers, Concert Choir, Pep Band, music for DC Players productions and teaching a music appreciation course. Andrew works closely with the Community Band, Big Band Sound, and DC Strings to ensure the success of each program presented at Defiance College.

Andrew is a Defiance native graduating from Defiance High School in 2001. Much of his musical foundation began in high school with his involvement in the Band of Class, DHS Choir, DHS Thespians and Fort Defiance Players.

Andrew serves the Defiance community working for the Defiance Community Cultural Council as Artistic and Performance Series Director. Andrew coordinates the three DCCC performance series including Sunday at the Center, Bands, Bands, Bands! and Music in Your Parks. Outside of the performance series Andrew oversees booking and use of the Arts and Media Center Facility and works in coordination with DCTV, DDVB, the DCCC board and each sub-committee to ensure the cultural enrichment goals of DCCC.

Andrew currently teaches private voice lessons, is in his fourth year as director of music at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church in Defiance and is the assistant director of the newly formed Belle Voci da Camera, a professional choir in Bowling Green, Ohio.
