Andrew Schultz
Director of Music Programs

Bio
Andrew is currently working to revive the Defiance College Music Program while directing the Chamber Singers, Choral Union, music for DC Players productions and teaching a course in conducting. Andrew works closely with the Community Band, Big Band Sound, Pep Band and DC Strings to ensure the success of each music program presented at Defiance College.

Andrew is a Defiance native graduating from Defiance High School in 2001. Much of his musical foundation began in high school with his involvement in the Band of Class, DHS Choir, DHS Thespians and Fort Defiance Players.

Andrew serves the Defiance community working for the Defiance Community Cultural Council as Artistic and Performance Series Director. Andrew coordinates the four DCCC performance series including Sunday at the Center, Bands, Bands, Bands!, Music in Your Parks and the newly created Young Audience Series. Outside of the performance series Andrew oversees booking and use of the Stroede Center for the Arts and works in coordination with DCTV, DDVB, the DCCC board and each sub-committee to ensure the cultural enrichment goals of DCCC.

Andrew also maintains a private voice studio and is in his sixth season as director of music at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church of Defiance.
